"This will allow more possible opportunities for investments, trade, and tourism for both areas," MCAC Chair and Clark Development Corporation President and CEO Noel F. Manankil said.
MCAC is co-chaired by Mabalacat City Mayor Crisostomo Garbo. Members include Angeles City Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr.; Porac, Pampanga Mayor Jaime Capil; Capas, Tarlac Mayor Reynaldo Catacutan; and Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Jose Antonio Feliciano.
Prior to this, the Pampanga Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Metro Angeles Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Clark Investors and Locators Association issued a joint resolution which emphasized the need for collaboration between Metro Clark area and South Cotabato to help usher in more economic and cultural impact on various industries.
In September last year, Manankil and Mayor Ronnel Rivera signed a Declaration of Joint Intent to strengthen linkages between Clark Freeport Zone and General Santos City.
"That covers promotion of air connectivity and organization of trade and business mission for tourism and investments among others," Manankil shared.(CLJD-PIA 3)
